Day 15, get me out of CHINA!

Day 15, and one day until i leave for my singapore/bali trip!

Life is challenging me right now, throwing me obstacles that im handling!

Anyways i did pretty good last night with just eating my dinner and then an orange. Although the scale was up one kg today 😦 I just want a flat tummy for the pool/beach. Hopefully by tomorrow it will be less puffy!

 

Breakfast:

-3 egg whites

-1 whole egg (small)

-2 cups cauiliflower

-1/4 cup onion

– 1 red pepper

– 3tbsp ketchup

– 1 orange

-1 medium tomato

-3 cups coffee

 

Lunch:

-left over stirfry from last night including:

-2 cups chinese broccoli

-2 cups cabbage

-1/2 cup onion

-5 cloves garlic

-2 egg whites

– 1/8 cup leeks

 

Snack:

-apple and orange

 

Dinner:

-1 cup cauliflower

-1 cup onion

-2 cups cabbage

-3 garlic cloves

-1/2 tomato

-4 egg whites

 

Workout:

-interval running 35 minutes

-TT#2

-10 minute belly dancing

Tonight after work, i will go home, make dinner and then start and finish packing! I have agood idea of the outfit i want to bring so it shouldnt take too long~ Then when i finish i will go get my toes and nails done for my trip and then get some zzzzzz’s!
Early morning tomorrow, i will leave around 7 AM! gotta pack something healthy to snack on, maybe an apple or two! eating healthy at the airport can be a challnege, but ill need to get some food before i leave because there is no meal for my 4 hour flight!

Day 14

So i skipped a day (just took it off, lets pretend it never happened!)

Sunday-TERRIBLE EATING DAY!!! I was on a marathon eating streak 😦

Anyways today is a new day, gym twice and kicking my ass from yesterdays eatings!

Plus i leave wednesday to SINGAPORE AND BALIIIIIIII 😀

breakfast:

-dried ramen noodles, half package

– large bananna

-2 cups of coffee

Lunch:

-water spinach 2 cups

-2 egg whites

-onion, leeks, garlic, red peppers, 1/4 tomato

-2 cups cabbage fresh

Snack:

-medium apple

Dinner:

-4 egg whites

some kind of vegetable which ill have half for lunch tomorrow!

 

MErrrrr, whyy does this happen every weekend. Massive eating of cookies and ice cream…grrrrr

 

Workout today:

-running 40 mins

-TT#1

-Ab Finisher

-Power Workout Cycle

-All weight machines/ free DB lifts/ bench press

-Circuit Fitness

going twice, went during lunch and will go after work to do the machines/circuit fitness

 

tonight i will start to pack for my trip, atleast begin to lay out my outfits and some toiletries. I will do most of  it tomorrow evening after work and after i make some dinner. Then when i finish packing im going to get my toes and nails done for the Vaycayyyyy 🙂

Day 5

Happy Friday World!

I had a very busy day! Which is a rare thing in my current job.  However, this was a great day filled with things to do and looking onward to the future-considering things like my next job and researching average salary for the position i wont. WOWeeeeee do Americans have it good, comparing my current china salary to the US is like black and white.  Although maybe i am over estimating my worth, its always good to start high and negotiate down then vice versa. Atleast that was my dad’s opinion- but to him i am worth a million bucks (gahh i love him!)

Anyways last night after my belly dancing class i broke one of my rules! I ate after 9pm, but class got out at 9 and i hadn’t had my apple yet. SO i ate it while i walked home around 9 15ish. My stomach felt gur-gully when i was laying down reading my book, and i could tell it wasn’t happy with its late night digestion requirements! Anyways i finished my book-sad and good- last night.  It was a really easy read and comical, also the first book i can remember i have read for pleasure and finished in all my life! Its called “The Hard times of the Thunderbolt kid” by Bill Bryson.  He is an awesome writer who basically just covers his childhood life in the US during the 1950’s t present, in Iowa, in a comical and funny manner. Wow LONG SENTENCE! i’ve been writing all day so don’t mind my run on thoughts and lack of passion for editing.  I suffice.

My diet and exercise was good today.  However, i think bc of the cloudy weather i don’t have much energy.  I ran for 20 minutes, walked at a steep incline for 5 minutes and got off- NOT completing my 35 minute running as projected 😦 Anyways i moved onto the circuit training of my workout at a more steady pace and did it all.  Then when i was leaving the gym, i saw my friend Amy running and said hello. I told her i only ran for 25 and she said well get back on a do 10! SO I DID! sometimes you just need that person to push you, or just to run next to, to get you back on track! So i ran another 10 min at the end of my workout and left the gym feeling better than i would had i not run at the end! Anways were going out tonight to a fun dance club/bar in Louhu, but i am not going to drink! This is going to be a challenge! But i know i can do it! Just drink tea or water!

Anwyays what i ate today:

Breakfast: (yummy becoming my fav)

-4egg whites

-3 small mushrooms

-1/4 cup onion

-1/2 tomato

(i put it all chopped, together in a bowl with the egg whites, mix it up, and pop it in the over for about 25 minutes making a quiche like dish! its easy and while its cooking i get dressed and ready for work! So great, i love multitasking when it is simple!)

Lunch:

-4 oz chicken breast boiled

-1 cup broccoli baked last night and microwaved today

-1/4 cup red onion

-1/2 cup cucumbers

Snack:

-1 medium apple

Dinner:

-1 can tuna

-4 tbsp mustard- YUMMM

-1/4 red onion

-10-15 cherry tomatoes???

-1 apple

-3 cups fresh cabbage

With these i make like tuna taco’s with the cabbage as the wrap. I put loads of black pepper, sichuan (spelling?) pepper, and grated red pepper in the tuna with a pinch of salt. I’m really trying to reduce my sodium intake- i.e water weight!  Today the scale didn’t change from yesterday, bummer! However i am hopeful it will continue its great reduction tomorrow!

Tonight, like i said, is going to be a big night-i think. Its friday night and time to party and dance and be social! Social with no alcohol, but i know my friend amy will want me to drink. I hope i have the will power to do it! i Know i dont need to drink to have a fun time, but i do enjoy drinking from time to time. I just havent gone long enough on my diet to drink already. Plus im saving those drinks for Bali!!!!!! More tomorrow, wish me luck, even though i know i dont need it because i am DETERMINED to stay away from alcohol tonight 🙂

Day 4

Day 4 and im feeling good! I didnt sleep very well last night, my brain just wouldnt turn off it seemed! Dont you just hate that? Hearing from blasts from the past tends to throw me off. Anyways, last night i ate my dinner, went for a walk after  dinner for 40minutes and almost finished mybook. I will finish it up tonight

This morning i woke up feeling good. Still tempted to see if my roomates left rice from their breakfast, but luckiy they hadnt and so no temptations!

Here’s what i ate today:

Breakfast:

-4 egg whites

-1/2 small tomato

-1/4 cup white onion

-pinch of salt, and lots of pepper for seasoning

-2 LARGE cups of coffee (it was a busy morning!)

Lunch:

-4oz (medium sized) chicken breast sliced and baked with

-1/2 tomato

-3 garlic cloves

-2 cups fresh cabbage

-1 cup sliced cucumber with skin

-3 tbsp of mustard

– 1 scoop protein powder

Dinner:

-2-3 cups chinese spinach like leaf vegetable (i don tknow how to descibe it, its like a long long hollow stemmed spinach?>)

-3 cloves garlic

-1/4 cup red onion

Today in china is Womens Day, which i guess is a national holiday? SO we got half day off work! I treated myself to a long lunch while watching Gossip Girl and then went to the grocery store to get some more eggs and veggies for the weekend.

Today’s work out:

Interval running 35 minutes (kicked my tuckasss!)

weights for 35 minutes (machines and free weights, i added 2.5 kg today to most of the machines)

Belly Dancing Class 7:40-8:40

As  my return home is drawing closer, i am kind of sad! I have really gotten used to my routine of work and the gym during lunch, and then my evening classes. I will miss the chinese girls that work at the gym. They are always so nice to me and know me by my first name, which i guess the should since i’ve gone every day for the past 7 months! I will miss it all actually. But i will be excited to go home, and will need to pick up a gym membership ASAP after my 5 day holiday post returning to the US. I(Im stopping in Seoul, South Korea on my way home for 5 days- ekkkk! No gym and lots of yummy food im sure)

So thats life, its going quite well. I think each day gets a little easier to say NO, to become aware of my cravings and tell them to stop, and to ultimately stick to my quide to what i want! A healthy lifestyle! Here we go world, lets do it!!!!
