Day 15, get me out of CHINA!

Day 15, and one day until i leave for my singapore/bali trip!

Life is challenging me right now, throwing me obstacles that im handling!

Anyways i did pretty good last night with just eating my dinner and then an orange. Although the scale was up one kg today :( I just want a flat tummy for the pool/beach. Hopefully by tomorrow it will be less puffy!

 

Breakfast:

-3 egg whites

-1 whole egg (small)

-2 cups cauiliflower

-1/4 cup onion

- 1 red pepper

- 3tbsp ketchup

- 1 orange

-1 medium tomato

-3 cups coffee

 

Lunch:

-left over stirfry from last night including:

-2 cups chinese broccoli

-2 cups cabbage

-1/2 cup onion

-5 cloves garlic

-2 egg whites

- 1/8 cup leeks

 

Snack:

-apple and orange

 

Dinner:

-1 cup cauliflower

-1 cup onion

-2 cups cabbage

-3 garlic cloves

-1/2 tomato

-4 egg whites

 

Workout:

-interval running 35 minutes

-TT#2

-10 minute belly dancing

Tonight after work, i will go home, make dinner and then start and finish packing! I have agood idea of the outfit i want to bring so it shouldnt take too long~ Then when i finish i will go get my toes and nails done for my trip and then get some zzzzzz’s!
Early morning tomorrow, i will leave around 7 AM! gotta pack something healthy to snack on, maybe an apple or two! eating healthy at the airport can be a challnege, but ill need to get some food before i leave because there is no meal for my 4 hour flight!

Day 14

So i skipped a day (just took it off, lets pretend it never happened!)

Sunday-TERRIBLE EATING DAY!!! I was on a marathon eating streak :(

Anyways today is a new day, gym twice and kicking my ass from yesterdays eatings!

Plus i leave wednesday to SINGAPORE AND BALIIIIIIII :D

breakfast:

-dried ramen noodles, half package

- large bananna

-2 cups of coffee

Lunch:

-water spinach 2 cups

-2 egg whites

-onion, leeks, garlic, red peppers, 1/4 tomato

-2 cups cabbage fresh

Snack:

-medium apple

Dinner:

-4 egg whites

some kind of vegetable which ill have half for lunch tomorrow!

 

MErrrrr, whyy does this happen every weekend. Massive eating of cookies and ice cream…grrrrr

 

Workout today:

-running 40 mins

-TT#1

-Ab Finisher

-Power Workout Cycle

-All weight machines/ free DB lifts/ bench press

-Circuit Fitness

going twice, went during lunch and will go after work to do the machines/circuit fitness

 

tonight i will start to pack for my trip, atleast begin to lay out my outfits and some toiletries. I will do most of  it tomorrow evening after work and after i make some dinner. Then when i finish packing im going to get my toes and nails done for the Vaycayyyyy :)

Day 13

So yesterday i was feeling SO hungry. After my dinner,  i ate some fried tofu (eeehhh) and then went for my 40 minute walk. I came home ready to skype with my mom, to find the internet in the house was out! Gahhh so i walked to the office to get wifi and chatted with her there. Then on the way home i got a drumstick and a pack of oreos…..i know i know so bad! But it tasted great and i didnt feel so guilty about it, which i think is good?

Anyways today is a new day. Yet i still feel so hungry and am craving sweets and cracker/cookies! Stop this at once pleaseeeee

Breakfast:

-4 egg whites

-1/5 cups cauliflower

-1/4 cup yellow onion

-chives

-1/2 med tomato

-handful of sunflower seeds in the shell

-2 cups coffee

-1 tbsp ground almonds in my coffee (yummm)

Lunch:

-2 cups cauliflower, garlic, onion, chicken stir fry with peppers (no oil)

- 2 cups fresh cabbage

Snack:

-medium apple

Dinner:

-can of tuna

-something green (havent decided yet)

Workout:

-35 minutes interval running

- weight machines/free weights 35 minutes

- Power workout (if i have time!) 5 interval circuit

Any ideas of how to kick this sweet tooth craving?!

Day 12

Sleepy morning, but now feeling good. I snacked on some sunflower seeds before i went to bed last night. Not the healtiest snack but it takes a while to get them out of the husk, so its entertaining for my mouth! Today i feel so hungry!

Breakfast:

-3 egg whites

- 1 whole egg

- 1/2 tomato

- 1/8 cp onion

-1 cup cauliflower

-1 tbsp ketchup

-2 cups coffee with 2 tbsp ground almond paste

Lunch:

-4 oz chickenbreast

-1.5 cups broccoli

- 1 cup cucumber

Dinner:

-4 oz chicken breast

-2 cups cauliflower with garlic and 1/4 cup onion and red/green pepper

Snack:

-1 cup cabbage

-gummm

Workout:

35 minutes running (10km/hr)

-tt#1 with ab finisher

-Belly dancing 6 30-7 30

Skype with my mom this evening!!! Plus i should find out if im going to HK tomorrow to celebrate st. pattys day. Either way is ok with me, but im waiting to hear from my friend Amy. She is tight on money and HK is not cheap!

Work tomorrow (saturday!) ughhhhhh this is the worst thing about china! i dont even think the boss comes in on sat but we must!

Cant wait to have my Sunday day of rest! and get ready to leave! Work is lame today, and the actual work i have to do is busy work that is so unfulfilling/non stimulating/ time consuming BS! haha i am negative about work today.

Day 11

Woke up feeling great about myself this morning! I did everything right yesterday, and stuck to my healthy eating. Also this morning i did not give into the rice temptation, so that felt awesome!

The scale at home said i weighed less- but we all know its a little off. We will see what it says when i go to the gym during my lunch break.

SOME MOTIVATION: so i was talking with my good friend about how discouraging it is that in the past 2 motnhs, i havent lost any weight, yet i continue to work out hard- how its just frustrating bc i cant get my eating act together! I always blow it come the weekend. So he made me a deal. He asked me what my goal was, and i said to loose another 10lbs. He said if i do it by the time i come home (a little over 2 months away) then he will take me SKYDIVING! i was stoked, and it was a great way to keep my mind focused on my goal.  I’ve never been before, and to be honest, even the though of doing it makes my heart beat rise, but how cool right?!

Anyways today is a good day! Feeling more positive and hoping i can stay strong and carry this good momentum through the weekend. Gah i have work Saturday, such a pity and its the things i loath most about  working for a Chinese company!

Breakfast:

-3 egg whites

-1 whole, small egg

-1 cup cauliflower

-1/4 cup chives

-1/8th cup red onion

-seasoning (paprika, red pepper grinded, salt, pepper)

- 2 tbsp ketchup

-2 cups coffee

 

Lunch:

-4 oz chicken breast boiled

-1.5 cups broccoli with chopped chives, garlic, ginger,

-1/4 cup leeks (new discovery! along with the chives!)

- 1 cups chopped cabbage

 

Snack:

-1 cup chopped cabbage

 

Dinner:

-4 oz chicken breast

- 1-2 cups water spinach

-3 cloves of garlic

 

Today’s workout:

-Interval running 35 minutes

-Weight machines/ free weights 35 minutes

-Belly dancing 7:40-8:40

 

I go home after work, cook dinner, and will start my laundry. Then i take my class and after a warm shower! Then i can come home, hang my laundry out to dry and maybe read my book. At around 10pm i have a Skype date with my friend Johnny who is a hypnotists. Maybe he can help me kick my food addiction/ cravings and be healthy forever! Its my first time to talk with him about this, so we’ll see how it goes. I am optimistic about it, and he said if im open minded it can work!

End of Day 9/ Day 10

Why am i such an epic failure! I have a problem with rice- i dont even really like it, but i cant say no to it! And worse off, i am surrounded by it! Not to mention last night, my old boss and her husband came over for dinner with my 2 chinese roommates, so of course i joined them for dinner. I only had about a half cup of rice, but then lots of veggies, chicken, fish and beef all cooked in oil and sugar! I felt so full after and i went for my evening stroll at a faster pace, taking the stairs down and up both ways. Gosh its so hard to eat healthy socially!

Anyways, not a complete dfaliure, but definitiely a set back.  I cant let this happen again. Only 1 week until my trip (6 days!) and i need to get in shape for those bikini’s!

Any suggestions here? I even ate about a 1/2 cup rice this morning with my breakfast. I wish it just wasnt in the house, but its not mine and i cant tell chinese people to not make rice! hahah

So i can feel that im heavier this morning. My tummy is pushed out and round as it was before, and im so hesitant about stepping on the scale. BTW it didnt even go down yesterday so im afraid it will be even more today.

Gotta get my mind right so i can stick to my plan. No cheating today! GAHHH i have some good days, and then days where i just get off my diet. I just want one solid week, sticking to my diet! IS that so much to ask of myself. Why dont i have stronger willpower. Any suggestions on how to improve this?

Breakfast:

-4 egg whites

- 1 medium tomato

- 1/4 cup red onion

- 1/8 cup chive type onion thing?

- 1/2 cup rice

-2 cups coffee

 

Lunch:

-4oz chicken breast

-1-1.5 cup cauliflower, garlic, onion,red peeper stir fry (made with no oil, pinch of salt, and dash of soy sauce and vinegar)

-2 cups cabbage

 

Snack

-1 cup cabbage

 

Dinner:

-Chicken breast

- 1 cup cauliflower

- 1/2 cucumber

 

Work out:

-Running 35 minutes

-TT#2

- Finisher

- 10 minute belly dancing

-6:30-7:30 Yoga

-40 minute after dinner walk

 

On a brighter note, my book is getting so good, and tonight i get to skype with my dear friend Panda. I hope she remembers! She tends to bail or forget or become busy. I haven’t seen her on skype for quite some time now! Something to look forward to!

next week i will be of a Jet plane to Singapore! Hello VAYCAYYYYY!!!! :D

Day 9

One week until i leave for my trip….EEKKK! Im getting so excited. Bikini here i come! I ordered 2 online yesterday through this website called TaoBao. You can seriously find anything on this site, and its so cheap!!! Shipping is like 2-3 dollars and comes within a few days, delivered to my office. Gosh china is awesome for shopping!

Anyways. I read my book last night. it is getting so good. I really enjoy reading, gosh what a great hobby! How come i never realized this before. Maybe i just had no time, or didnt make it a priority. Anyways back to the health and nutrition.

I went to bed at 11pm last night- awesome! and didnt eat past 9pm- awesome!

This morning i woke up feeling good! a little sleepy but way better than i felt Monday morning. But i gave into the rice….STOP ME!

Breakfast:

-4 egg whites

-1/2 med/large tomato

-1/4 cup onion

-1/4 cup chopped chives

-1/2 cup white rice

-2 tsp soy sauce

-2 cups coffee

Lunch:

-4 oz chicken breast

-1 cup waterspinach and chives with galic

-1/2 cup fried lotus root

Snack:

- medium apple

Dinner:

- 4 ox chicken breast

-1 cup broccoli

-1/2 cup onion

-3 cloves garlic

-1/2 tomato

 

Todays workout:

-35 minute interval running

-35 minutes weights/machines

 

Evening walk for about 45 minutes and then read my book and get to bed early! NO cabrs WED!!! forr reals this time haha

:( Day 8

End of day 7 was terrible. I think i broke every rule i made for myself. Sometimes i think i shouldnt be allowed out in public! I was doing great in the morning, ate my normal, healthy breakfast.  Then it started raining so i waited a little to catch the bus. When it slowed, i got the bus and then the metro to the shopping mall.  This place along with the grocery store is bad news for me!

So i went to Carrefour to get some of the int’l products they carry like tuna and mustard. All was well, until i passed the bakery! The cookies smelt so good, and they were enticing samples.  I’d say i had about 4 cookies before i left! eekk Also i bought this delicious, oil fried onion flat bread which i later ate as well.

So that wasn’t so bad.  Then i went to the self serve frozen yogurt cafe to get a coffee and sit and read my book.  I didnt get any yogurt, which is one of my favorite treats, but i did eat the fried onion bread while i read my book. Then before i left, i went down and got a soft serve cone from McDonald’s. I know i know, what was i thinking! But it just gets worse.

So i got my groceries and caught the bus home.  Then realizing how full i was i went for a decent hour long walk in the drizzle-burrrr!

Then i got home, had an apple and packed my lunch for today.  My roomate came home around 8ish and brought chestnuts and sunflower seeds to share with me. gahhh! So we put on a movie and snacked on these and i made popcorn! Gosh terrible, just terrible.

Then before i went to bed i had a scoop of rice, 2 mini bananas, a whole package of fiber digestive vegetable cookies and 2 chocolate wafers.  I dont know what’s wrong with me, or why this tends to happen every Sunday but it is beyond discouraging. Why do i give into temptation and how do i rationalize these decisions? I always wake up Monday morning feeling so sleepy from my body working extra hard, producing mass amounts of insulin to digest the bad carbs, sugars, and fats! No to mention the scale goes right back to where it was last monday!

Any suggestions on how to kick this for good? Im considering not going to the mall. Ive been chewing gum, which worked friday and sat night! But sunday i was unstoppable. I dont think im going to weigh myself today. Better to wait until tomorrow. However i will work out, and eat healthy im sure.

-Bread Roll (terrible)

-Apple

Lunch:

-4oz chicken breast

-2 cups cabbage

-1 cup cucumbers

Dinner:

-1.5 cups water spinach and chives

-3 garlic cloves

-1/2 cup lotus root cooked in oil (by my roomate, so delicious!) with red peppers

- 1 can tuna with salt and seasoning

 

Work out:

-35 minutes interval running

- TT#1

-Yoga 6:30- 7:30

 

No evening walk bc it was raining!!!

Day 7

Woke up feeling good this morning!

Today i will make breakfast and then go to a coffee shop to read my new book. Then go to get some groceries for the week and maybe check out some of my favorite stores at the mall.

today is my off day so no gym/workout today. GOtta rest those muscles.

What i ate today so far

Breakfast:

-4egg whites

-1/4 cup red onion

-1/2 tomato

Lunch? Maybe ill be out so ill grab a salad or some other healthy choice.

End of Day 6

So i had a big yummy dinner after 3.5 hours in the gym. I had an extra apple and bites of chicken too many. Also i had 2 corn sausages that were outside of my food budget/diet :(

After i cheat its easier to do it again.  But i did really good after dinner! Only drank tea and had gum and went on my post dinner walk to clear my head. I watched a movie with my friend.

How do you say no and stick to your diet on the weekends? This is always the hardest time for me to resist because i have free time and am tempted when i am out at the mall or store.

A week from Wednesday i go to Singapore and Bali! Yay so excited
